Unveiling Of The SRFofCC’s Testimonial Dinner On November 14

Ready. Set. Action! The Cobb Chamber entertained a star-studded Business After Hours event on March 14 with President of the Senior Resource Foundation of Cobb County, Phyllis Silverman, and Herb Silverman, volunteer, in the mix at the Studio Movie Grill in Marietta.

The good news was our announcement about the Testimonial Dinner scheduled for November 14 starting at 6:30 PM at the Senior Wellness Center, 1150 Powder Springs Street, Marietta.

As Mrs. Silverman commented, “We are so pleased to name Dr. Ike Reighard, President of Must Ministeries, as the Senior Resource Foundation of Cobb County’s first ‘Outstanding Senior of the Year’. The proceeds of the dinner will enhance our work of repairing seniors’ home.”

Tickets for the gala event will be available in the next several weeks.

Happy To Learn And Growth At The Kennesaw Business Association Business Expo

The Kennesaw Business Association went all out for a marvelous Business Expo on February 26 at the Kennesaw State University Conference Center with President of the Senior Resource Foundation of Cobb County, Phyllis Silverman, and Herb Silverman, volunteer in attendance. They were happy to learn more about different industries in the Cobb County in the great number of booths. 

Also, enjoying the event were SRFofCC Board Members Shelley Elder and Debra Hunsaker. Elder Law Firm was a co-sponsor of the KBA Business Expo and Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill had a booth.

“Phyllis and I were thrilled to see not only the growth of Cobb County but also all of the new and exciting potential of the exhibitors tonight,” Mr. Silverman commented.

Marietta Daily Journal And Comcast Will Be The Media Sponsors For The Better Tomorrow Senior Expo

Phyllis Silverman, Founder and President of the Senior Resource Foundation of Cobb County, spoke to energetic members of the Cobb Connections from the Cobb Chamber about the Better Tomorrow Senior Expo and its media sponsors Marietta Daily Journal and Comcast on February 11.

Silverman commented, “We are so delighted to have the support of our wonderful local newspaper, the Marietta Daily Journal, and the media giant, Comcast.”

The Better Tomorrow Senior Expo will be held on September 12 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the Cobb County Civic Center. The event will be free admission to the public.

On January 24, Phyllis Silverman, Founder and President, and Herb Silverman, volunteer, from the Senior Resource Foundation of Cobb County attended a packed audience to hear our new Division 1 Commissioner Keli Gambrill give her vision for Cobb County during a luncheon hosted by the West Cobb Business Association at Lost Mountain Baptist Church.

Commissioner Gambrell was open to suggestions concerning the senior community and plans to speak with Mrs. Silverman in the near future to discuss issues that are pertinent to the continued improvement of senior life in Cobb County.

More than that, the SRFofCC participants informed and encouraged people about our Better Tomorrow Senior Expo on September 12 at the Cobb County Civic Center. Booths are now available and it is free admission to the public!

SRFofCC Announces The Better Tomorrow Senior Expo In September

On January 14, Phyllis Silverman, Founder and President of the Senior Resource Foundation of Cobb County, made an announcement at the Cobb Connections for the Cobb Chamber of Commerce regarding our Better Tomorrow Senior Expo. This will be held on September 12 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Cobb County Civic Center.
